Muhsin Yener GÜRMEN
Muhsin Yener Gürmen joined Turkrating in November 2007 as Member of the Board responsible for the quality assurance system of Turkrating. He has long years of experience in both the civil service and the private sector.
Mr Gürmen served as sworn-in bank auditor between from 1960 to 1979 supervising a very wide range of banks and their affiliated financial institutions. He spent 2 years in Cyprus between 1975 and 1976 as a member of the Aid Commission to Cyprus. Between 1976 and 1979 he was the Chairman of the Board of Sworn-in Auditors.
Mr Gürmen retired in 1983 but was awarded the degree of "Honorary Sworn-in Auditor". He subsequently joined the Dogus Group as Advisor to the Chairman, Mr. Ayhan Sahenk, and as Member of the Board of Doğuş Holding A.S.
He has obtained the "Certified Accountant" (YMM) certificate in 1989 and assisted the establishment of Takasbank, the Central Securities Depository of Turkey and the Clearing and Settlement Center for the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
During 1998 - 2000 he served on the Board Member and Chairman of the Board on Bankekspres, a bank transferred to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund. Between 2002 and 2003 he has served as Chairman of the Board of Ege Portfolio Management Co. and Iktisat Portfolio Management Co., assigned by the SDIF.
He has been on the Board Membership and worked as Chief Auditor on HLB Saygın Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik ve Denetim A.Ş. on 2003 - 2006.
Mr Gürmen, is a graduate of The Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara. He has many articles published in various journals and newspapers.
He has been in France in 1966 and in Switzerland 1969 for professional studies.
He has also worked as a lecturer in Hacettepe University until 1980.
